Family Support Group: 
(DUE TO COVID-19, THE FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP HAS BEEN TEMPORARILY SUSPENDED)

The Family Support Group is held on the Third Sunday each month by Invitation only. Check in time is 12:15pm and the presentation starts at 12:30pm and ends at 1:30pm. Your family member will be allowed a 4 hour furlough after the presentation is over. This presentation will be between the family of the resident and a facilitator, the resident will not be present during the presentation. The invitations will be sent two weeks prior to the presentation and the Facility will contact the person that the resident addressed the invitation to by phone a week prior to confirm attendance.
Furloughs: 


Residents in Phase 3 are allowed one 8 hour furlough.

Residents in Phase 4 are allowed two 8 hour furloughs that can be used individually. The furloughs start at 9:00am on the date of the furlough and the resident must be checked back in by 5:00pm on the date of the furlough. Residents with behavioral problems will not be granted furloughs.

APPROVED SPONSORS FOR FURLOUGHS MUST HAVE VALID DRIVERS LICENSE AND BE ABIDING BY TEXAS STATE LAW PERTAINING TO OWNERSHIP OF A VEHICLE IN THE STATE OF TEXAS.

Phase III and IV residents who are employed and in compliance with ISF rules are eligible for the following: 
*Phase III equals receiving one phone call or video chat OR one eight-hour furlough.
*Phase IV equals receiving two phone calls or video chats OR two eight-hour furloughs at the timing of one per month

*The furloughs are void and can be removed as a privilege if you are not following the rules/regulations of this program. Privilege must be used during the phase time period; if not used then it is void.

All furloughs must return within eight hours allowed. TIMES FOR FURLOUGHS ARE 9AM TO 5PM NO EXCEPTIONS; UNLESS AN EMERGENCY FURLOUGH IS GRANTED.
If you are unable to take a furlough then you may submit a written request to trade for a Google Chat or Phone Call.
Family members submitted on the initial intake furlough form will only be allowed to take a resident on a furlough. Furlough intake form may not be altered after a resident begins his employment component or is placed at a place of future employment. The approved family member must show and have a valid/current driver’s license on the day of the furlough when checking out the resident. Public or privately paid transports are not allowed (i.e. Uber,taxi etc.). The family member listed must be driving the vehicle and show the valid/current license upon picking up a resident from the ISF. The same family member that checks out the resident must also return the resident to the facility. Any variation is a violation of the rules and can result in sanctions. 

Weekend furlough forms are due by the Monday evening prior to the request in the dorm box.

Requests for emergency and/or medical furloughs will be discussed in program Staff meetings and the sending CSCD Supervision Officer on a case-by-case basis. All residents must have a furlough sponsor approved by the Assistant Director or their designee. No items will be allowed to be brought back into the facility on a furlough. (Allowed items may be delivered to the front desk during business hours or mailed only).

RESIDENTS WHO ARE NOT IN COMPLIANCE WITH OTHER AREAS OF THEIR PROGRAMS SUCH AS CLASSES OR BEHAVIOR WILL NOT RECEIVE THE FURLOUGH PRIVILEGE.
ALL FURLOUGH SPONSORS MUST SHOW THEIR CURRENT TEXAS DRIVERS LICENSE. SANDWICHES/SACK LUNCH ARE PROVIDED ONLY FOR THOSE RETURNING FROM FURLOUGHS.
Furloughs may not be taken the last week of a resident’s program. 
IF YOU ARE LATE FROM A FURLOUGH, DAYS WILL BE ADDED AND/OR FUTURE FURLOUGHS WILL NOT BE PERMITTED. 
HOURS FOR FURLOUGHS ARE 9AM TO 5PM. IF YOU LEAVE AT TIME VARIATIONS FOR EXAMPLE
9:30AM YOU ARE STILL DUE BACK BY 5PM.  
5PM IS THE LATEST TIME FOR RETURN.

Items residents are allowed to have:

7 pair white socks - 7 pair solid color boxers or briefs - 7 white T-Shirts - Coat and/or Sweatshirt (NO HOODIES) - Work Boots and Tennis Shoes
Pajamas - Civilian clothing (solid colors, no printing please). 

Commissary Funds: If you choose to send your family member money please send or bring money orders. Cash and personal checks are not accepted.

Items residents are not allowed to have sent or brought to them with out approval:
Hygiene products - Books (no graphic content or gang related content) - colored pencils only (no gel pens or markers) -

RESIDENT PHONE SYSTEMS:

The inmate phone systems are managed through Crown Correctional Telephones, their contact number for account setup is (800) 943-2189.
FAMILY MEMBERS MUST CALL THE FACILITY FIRST PRIOR TO DROPPING OFF CLOTHING OR OTHER PERMITTED ITEMS FOR A RESIDENT. UPON SPEAKING TO A STAFF MEMBER YOU WILL BE PERMITTED TO DROP OFF ALLOWED ITEMS AT THE FRONT DOOR OF THE FACILITY MONDAY THROUGH THURSDAY FROM 9AM TO 4PM. ONE DROP OFF IS PERMITTED. AFTER YOUR ONE DROP OFF ANY OTHER ALLOWED ITEMS MAY BE MAILED INTO THE FACILITY. FAMILY MEMBERS MAY NOT COME ONTO THE FACILITY PROPERTY UNANNOUNCED. YOU MUST CONFIRM A TIME WITH STAFF.  
VIDEO CHATS/ VIRTUAL VISITATION

Submit all written requests in the dorm boxes by Sunday evening of each week
  Prior to your assigned video week. If your request is received late, it will be added 
  to the next date you are permitted. You may substitute a phone call if you do 
  not wish to have a Video chat. Day assigned for the phone call/video chat 
  will be as staffing permits. Sanctions for rule violations may include not receiving 
  the privilege of video/phone chats. Visitation list must be completed two weeks 
  prior to your employment date; may not be changed after this date. (15 MINUTE PHONE OR VIDEO CHATS ONLY)
